It’s Another Boy!
So Kennedy had her post-ultrasound doctor’s appointment today and she was told that it appears we are having another boy. Definitely the more cost effective gender since we already have lots of boy clothes and boy toys. Here’s some pics from the ultrasound.
Brent’s Back
Sorry I haven’t been posting much lately. We’ve been recovering from a crazy May. So much stuff happened last month:
We moved into our new house.
Will turned 2.
My brother and his wife had a baby.
Kennedy’s sister and her husband had a baby.
Kennedy’s Grandma passed away.
My brother Brent got home from his mission.
And I know I’m forgetting some things. Anyway, here’s some late pictures of my brother Brent arriving back in Canada after two years in Sunny San Diego.
Darren, Mike, Will, Brent, and Ryan. All the boys except Jason (who’s on his mission in Tampa) and Paxton (who was sleeping in his carseat).
Paxton Champ Peterson
My brother Ryan and his wife Alisha had their first baby on Tuesday. They named him Paxton Champ Peterson. Will finally has a cousin on the Peterson side. Will seems to like him so far. He calls him Baby Pac (he can’t seem to make an S sound).
And Will hugging his new cousin.
Congratulations Ryan and Alisha.
Writing-On-Stone
We went to Writing-On-Stone for the holiday Monday. It has been forever since I’ve been there (I think I went for an elementary school field trip once) so it was interesting to see the place again. Here’s a few pictures of our adventures.
Will is 2?!
It’s hard to believe that Will turned 2 today. Time sure flies.
Here are 5 quick facts about Will the 2 year old:
1. He is picking up quite a few words. His favorite thing to say is “I want _____”. He fills in that blank with Mommy, Daddy, pickle (his favorite food), wiggles (his favorite show), or baba (bottle).
2. He’s also getting pretty good at his ABC’s. He can say almost all of them if you show them to him.
3. He’s a little guy still. At his last check-up he was in the 5th percentile for height and weight. He weighs about 22 lbs.
4. He’s sleeping in a bed now. We took him out of the crib when we moved and he has been doing pretty well in the big boy bed.
5. He’s pretty good at doing puzzles, even regular jigsaw puzzles (the ones with big pieces though).
And here’s a whack of pictures from his birthday party:
Will liked the balloons. They made his hair stand up.

Moving Preparation
2 weeks from today we will be moving to our new house. It seems like there is so much that needs to be done to get ready for the big move. In the almost three years that we’ve lived here we have gradually accumulated a lot of stuff (including a kid named Will). I’m not sure how we will get it all accross town to the new place.
We started boxing things up that we won’t be needing in the next 2 weeks. We’ve filled about 15 boxes so far and it seems like we haven’t even made a dent. And I keep forgetting that we have a garage FULL of junk still.
I made a checklist of things that need to be done and I am gradually checking things off. Find renters to take our place here. Check. Book a U-Haul. Check (I got the biggest one they had. 26 feet). Change our address with every company that sends us mail. Almost check (There’s about 15 places I need to call. I’m about half way through the list). Book some time off work for the move. Check. Start packing. Check (see pictures below). Am I missing anything?
Katherine + Zed
Kennedy’s sister Katherine married Zed Spencer on Saturday. We spent the entire day in Cardston for all of the eating and stuff. Here are some pictures of the day (I didn’t get many because my battery died fairly early in the day. These are some of the better ones of the few that I took. I wish I could have taken more).
